The Westworld Mountains

The Westworld Mountains rise impossibly tall over the western border of the Empire. Beyond the Blue Sea, these mighty peaks signal, for most, the end of the known world. There is no known pass over them and only rare stories are told of the magical, mystical land beyond. While some scoff at the childrens's tales, others claim that the legends of enchanted forests and faeries beyond the mountains are quite true. The mountains themselves are hardly populated. A few small mining towns eek out an existance in the lower reaches of the range. During winter nights, they warn travellers of giants and worse that live up beyond the trees in hidden crevices and caves. No one knows just how tall the peaks are, but those few who have ventured to find out haven't returned. Even the Nyrgil rarely venture above the tree line.
