The Verde Woods are a strange meld of various types of forest as the foothills of the Westworld Mountains tumble down into the Blue Sea. For the most part, the dense part of the forest hugs the coast, over looking everything from sandy beaches to rocky coastline. The trees thin out as the foothills rise but then take over the landscape again as the hills become more mountainous. Most temperate forest animals can be found by hunters from deer to racoons, from opossum to the occasional elk. There is a plethera of birds in the trees and, though hunted by local farmers, a few wolf packs range the area, preying on game and livestock. |
