Along the southern shores of the Blue Sea lie the Grey Mountains. These mountains of grey rock rise out of the water and drift off to the south and east toward the center of the Empire. Small fishing villages are nestled in some of the coves where the sea has worn its way into the grey stone. Up in the mountains themselves are the ancient Caverns of Goirn as well as the dwarven strongholds of Thaladun, Duranor, and Goldun. As the range drifts southeast, it levels out into soft, rolling hills before rising back up to form the Estolan Peaks more near the capital. To the northeast, the mountains plummet down into the marshes of Buham's Swamp and the end at the Grey Wastes to the west. As for the southern border, the mountains drift down to foothills, which eventually flatten to rolling plains that stretch southward toward the Foxhole Forest. |
