Buham's Swamp has many names. The Imperial Swamp. Swamp of the Dragon. They all fit the large stretch of wetlands that cup along the eastern shores of the Blue Sea. The Great River Delta is the heart of the area. The mighty river flows out of the Blue Sea and across Threforfar, feeding the Northern Woods and other fertile regions of the Empire. At its southern end, the swamp borders the Grey Mountains and the Twin Lakes where the ground rises out of the murk. To the north, it is stopped by the Great River, though it does stretch for a few miles on the opposite bank. The further inland you go from the sea, Buham's Swamp becomes more and more hospitable until it dries out into the fertile grasslands between Flagaton Pol and Bibon. Located near the delta, Imperial Lookout watches the widest point where the river meets the sea, monitoring shipping in the region. |
